PBG Builders, Inc. Earns Safety Award in 2017

PBG Builders, Inc. has always placed a strong emphasis on workplace safety and has been the recipient of several safety awards through the years reflecting their safety performance. Most recently, the company won the CompTrustAGC of Tennessee Safety Award for having no workers’ compensation claims from April 1, 2016 through March 30, 2017.  The construction business is inherently challenging from a safety perspective. To achieve this level of success protecting workers is no small accomplishment and takes consistent commitment to safety principles and safety education.

PBG Builders, Inc. Wins "We Are Nashville Award"

PBG Builders, Inc. was awarded the 2014 "We Are Nashville" Award by the AGC of Tennessee - Middle Tennessee Branch for going above and beyond to answer the call of those in need during difficult times.  In addition to the 2014 "We Are Nashville" Award, PBG Builders was presented with two additional awards for projects completed in 2013.  The individual awards were for the projects outlined below.

Restoration of Ravenswood Mansion Marcella Vivrette Smith Park - Originally built in 1825, the project required a construction professional who could retain and recapture the antiquity of the 19th century mansion to its original character while installing modern improvements to meet building codes and ADA requirements.

Meharry Medical College, Hulda Margaret Lyttle Hall - Constructed in 1930 and named for the first African-American nurse to pass the Tennessee State Board of Nursing exam in 1915.  Lyttle Hall is considered one of the oldest structures on campus and originally functioned as the Nurses Dormitory building.

Each of these awards are especially meaningful as they were judged by an impartial panel comprised of our peers in the commercial construction industry. While  PBG Builders is honored to be the recipient of these awards, they recognize that their success is very much dependent upon the dedication and hard work of their vendors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers and other partners.  The ability to work together in a concerted and coordinated effort to execute their client's vision and exceed their expectations is clearly the product of a high level of teamwork and commitment to excellence.

To each of you who played a role in the success of these projects, thank you!
