Montgomery Bell Inn and Conference Center
The facility that had been on the site since the 1940’s was removed. The original Crab Orchard Stone cladding was salvaged and re-used to face the new Inn and Conference Center.
At 95,000 square feet, the 6-story facility has 120 guestrooms, 5 suites, a 6,000 square foot conference center, a 750 square foot boardroom, private dining rooms, a restaurant that seats 120, and a full commercial kitchen. Recreational amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, a whirlpool, game room, and exercise room.
One of the features of the project is a glass wall concourse and breakout area, allowing conference rooms direct access to the outdoors. The building also has a steel overlook structure with wood decking.
In June 2000, the project received a Citation of Merit from the Gulf States Region of the American Association of Architects (AAA).
